On June 17, 2024, Governor Wes Moore signed an executive order pardoning 175,000 cannabis-related convictions in Maryland. However, receiving a pardon does not stop a criminal conviction from showing up on a background check or removing it from the police system. A separate process known as expungement is required in order to permanently shield the record of a past criminal conviction. This means that individuals recently pardoned by Governor Moore are now eligible to expunge their criminal record of that cannabis-related conviction.  Our attorneys will process expungement for those recently pardoned by Governor Moore on a COMPLIMENTARY basis.
