If your child is off to college then you should make sure you have a Medical Power of Attorney (POA). This is a necessary legal document for medical decision-making if your child is incapacitated. Students who are now 18 are seen as adults when making medical decisions. If the student can’t speak for themselves, then this document will be recognized to empower designated parents/caregivers to communicate with medical personnel on their behalf. Our office will provide this COMPLIMENTARY to any family that contacts us. Call or email our offices using the contact info below. Click this link to see other helpful legal tips you should know.
